Five Easy Steps to Being a Protector of the Planet

If you and your family skipped steak once a week, it would be the equivalent of taking your car off the road for almost 3 months.

  1. Reduce meat intake If you and your family skipped steak once a week, it would be the equivalent of taking your car off the road for almost 3 months. Oh and if the entire U.S. cut out meat and cheese for just one day a week, it would be the equivalent of not driving 91 billion miles – or taking 7.6 million cars off the road! Even one meal a week would be fantastic or join us for the whole of World Meat Free Week if you dare!

  2. Cut down on plastic Stop using plastic wrap on foods (it’s not very good for you or the environment), refuse drinking straws (they all end up in landfill) and carry a shopping bag with you, which will save you a little money and help the planet.

  3. Buy a reusable coffee cup Did you know that takeaway coffee cups can’t be recycled and all end up in landfill? Treat yourself to a reusable cup – some brands will give you a discount on your coffee if you take your own!

  4. Stop buying bottled water When you think about it, it’s quite absurd that we pay for a natural resource that more often than not comes in plastic! Some of us are lucky enough to live in countries that have regular water supplies and so we really should use it. You can always treat yourself to a water filter and a reusable bottle, which is healthier for all of us.

  5. Be mindful of water use Turn the tap off whilst brushing your teeth, only boil what you need, have quick showers, save up dirty clothes to wash full loads and reduce water waste.

Easy isn’t it!
